Backup and Disaster Recovery

Continuity designed to RPO/RTO targets

Backup and Disaster Recovery

3-2-1 backup, immutable copies, replication to a second site and a DR test verified twice a year.

Quoted per project

Taking a backup is not the same as being able to recover. Omurga designs disaster recovery solutions starting from a business impact analysis (BIA), around the data loss (RPO) and downtime (RTO) targets each system can accept.

Layered protection

  • Tier 1: synchronous replication for critical databases and applications (RPO ~ 0, RTO < 1 hour)
  • Tier 2: replication in minutes for virtual machines (RPO 15 min, RTO 4 hours)
  • Tier 3: daily backup, immutable copy and a cloud target (RPO 24 hours, RTO 24 hours)

Testing and documentation

The DR plan is delivered in writing and tested at least twice a year without affecting the live environment. The test report is prepared so that it can be presented to the board and auditors.

Against ransomware

Backups are protected with permissions separate from the production network; an immutable, air-gapped copy is kept. The procedure for restoring into a clean environment after an attack is rehearsed beforehand.

Scope of service

  • Business impact analysis (BIA)
  • Three-tier RPO/RTO design
  • Two DR tests a year
  • Immutable backup

Frequently asked questions

Which vendors' solutions does Omurga offer?
We have 14 technology partners and work vendor-independently. We prepare a comparison table based on need and recommend the best fit with technical reasons. The partners are listed on the Technology Partners page.
Do you also work with small businesses?
Yes. We work from companies with 50 users up to large institutions; for smaller setups managed IT services are offered at a fixed fee per user.
Is the discovery meeting really free?
Yes. The 60-minute discovery meeting and written summary are free. Services such as an in-depth assessment or penetration test are priced separately and quoted in writing beforehand.
Where is my data kept in the managed SOC service?
Log and event data is kept encrypted in our data centres in Türkiye. The retention period (for example 1 year online, 5 years archive) is set in the contract. This answer is for information only; your obligations may vary by sector.
What are the contract term and termination conditions?
Standard terms for managed services are 12 and 36 months; unit prices are lower on 36-month contracts. Termination needs 90 days' written notice. Project-based work ends on the acceptance date.
