Istanbul, 5 hospitals

An infrastructure connecting five hospitals to a single data centre and DR site, hosting a 600 TB imaging archive.
A private healthcare group of five hospitals ran a separate server room and imaging archive in each hospital. Doctors needed hours to reach an examination at another hospital and backups were inconsistent.
A new Tier-3 level data centre was built at the main hospital and a disaster recovery environment was created at a second site. The five hospitals were connected by a redundant fibre ring. The 600 TB PACS archive was moved to all-flash and object storage tiers.
Because health data is sensitive, all components are kept in Türkiye and access logs (audit log) are configured to be kept for five years.
