Hybrid Cloud Migration and Cost Optimisation at a Logistics Company

A logistics company doing domestic and international transport had to renew 14 years of server investment. Proposals to move everything to the cloud did not stand up on cost.

Solution

Omurga inventoried 96 applications and ran a 6R analysis: 61 applications were moved or replatformed to the cloud, 13 were retired and 22 (customs and warehouse systems) stayed on-premises. A landing zone, identity and security foundations were built for the cloud, and migration was carried out in four waves.
